Disney Treasure – Disney Cruise Line’s Newest Ship

Writer: Fairy Godmother TravelFairy Godmother Travel

The magic of Disney is making waves at sea! The Disney Cruise Line is currently expanding its fleet with four new ships, all set to launch on or before 2031. The latest addition to the Disney Cruise Line family is the Disney Treasure, which embarked on its maiden voyage in December 2024 from Port Canaveral, Florida. The Disney Treasure is themed around some of Disney's most adventurous characters and stories. In keeping with its adventurous spirit, the ship features Peter Pan and Captain Hook prominently on the stern. Classic Disney adventure tales like Aladdin, The Lion King, Luca, and The Jungle Book are showcased throughout the ship.

Two of the three main dining rooms aboard the Disney Treasure offer immersive dining experiences featuring characters from Coco and the Marvel Universe. In contrast, the elegant 1923 restaurant celebrates Californian cuisine, surrounded by classic animations from Walt Disney Studios. Additionally, the Disney Treasure is home to the first-ever Haunted Mansion-themed lounge. The Haunted Mansion Parlor's secret menu is especially popular among guests! Those who wish to sample the secret menu will need to decode a "chilling challenge" to discover its delicious offerings.

At the heart of Disney's magic are awe-inspiring experiences, and the Disney Treasure offers an abundance of them! Disney's The Tale of Moana brings the film's beloved characters to center stage for the first time. This Broadway-style musical follows Moana as she sets sail and discovers the courage to pursue her dreams. The all-new Mickey and Minnie Mouse short, Curse of the Golden Egg, is featured in the ship's water coaster. Riders experience immersive show scenes and incredible ocean views as they slide through an ancient temple in search of a legendary treasure. Furthermore, the original stage show, Disney Seas the Adventure, takes Goofy and other well-known Disney and Pixar characters on a journey through uncharted waters, set to popular songs from The Princess and the Frog, Moana, and Frozen II.

The Disney Treasure offers a variety of staterooms designed for families, but the Concierge Tomorrow Tower Suite truly stands out as the premier option. This stunning two-story suite showcases avant-garde design elements, dynamic art pieces, molten metal accents, and colorful stained glass. It features a private elevator, expansive two-story windows, and 2,000 square feet of living space, comfortably accommodating up to eight guests. Smaller suites, such as the Rajah Royal Suite, inspired by Aladdin, and the Bagheera Royal Suite, inspired by The Jungle Book, are also available. Both of these suites accommodate up to six guests and are part of Disney's Concierge service. Regardless of the accommodations selected, the Disney Treasure is sure to deliver an unforgettable family vacation!

The Disney Cruise Line fleet currently has six active ships, with two more scheduled to be added in 2025. The Disney Destiny is expected to make its maiden voyage in November 2025, while the Disney Adventure will embark on its inaugural journey in December 2025. Ready to set sail this year?
