A Magical 2024!

"Hakuna Matata!"

Timon and Pumba in Disney’s The Lion King

From park hopping to dining plans, Disney guests will have fewer worries when visiting the parks in 2024! As 2023 ends, so do many of Disney's pandemic-established policies, which means easier access to the magic!

"Goodbye may seem forever, farewell is like the end. But in my heart's a memory, and there you'll always be."

Disney’s Fox and Hound

Starting January 9th, Disney World guests who purchase a date-based ticket will no longer need a park reservation. Introduced in June 2020, the park reservation system is something frequent Disney visitors are excited to leave in the past! Park reservations will still be required for Annual Passholders and those who purchase promotional tickets. However, on designated "good-to-go-days," no reservation will be required for Annual Passholders to enter a Walt Disney World park.

"Tiggers don't jump; they bounce!"

Tigger in Disney’s Winnie the Pooh.

Like Tigger, Disney World guests with Park Hopper tickets can bounce from park to park in 2024! Park hopping is a great way to maximize a Disney vacation. Do you feel like starting your day in the lush forests of Pandora? Go for it! Have a hankering for a Casey's Corner hot dog? A quick trip on the Monorail will take you straight to Main Street! Disney’s removal of park-hopping time restrictions means guests with the correct ticket type can freely move around the parks regardless of the hour! It's important to note that Annual Passholders will need to check in at their reservation park before being able to park hop.

"If you are what you eat, then I only want to eat the good stuff."

Remy in Disney’s Ratatouille

Follow Remy's lead and make it a point to enjoy all the delicious food options Disney World offers! Guests with 2024 reservations at Disney Resort hotels can now purchase a Disney Dining Plan, which gives them the convenience of pre-paying for their meals and snacks. Families with young children should be incredibly excited about the reintroduction of the Dining Plans, as they are a budget-friendly way to access many spectacular food options across Disney properties.

"I know every mile would be worth my while. When I go the distance, I'll be right where I belong."

Disney’s Hercules

Disneyland guests can participate in a brand new Halloween Half Marathon in 2024! Scheduled for the first weekend in September, the four-day event will include yoga, kids' races, and a 10K! Many other spooky-themed activities and challenges will be featured throughout the weekend. Registration is set to open on runDisney in early February.

"The only way to get what you want in this world is through hard work."

Tiana in Disney’s The Princess and the Frog

Imagineers are hard at work making Tiana's Bayou Adventure a reality! The much-anticipated attraction is scheduled to open at both Disneyland and Disney World in late 2024. The opening of the first Princess and the Frog attraction in North America will bring larger-than-normal crowds to both parks. Planning will be critical in 2024! It is never too early to contact an expert travel agent at Fairy Godmother Travel and start planning your 2024 Disney vacation!
